Over the years, we have come across great ideas and books that help us to build a family with joy and meaning.  They help us to understand the truth of life.  They are like “apples of gold in pictures of silver” *  and also “honey comb, sweet to the soul, and health to the bones.” ** .We are delighted to have this opportunity to introduce these ideas and books to you.  May you also receive great blessings from the Lord as we do. We are also selling herbal tea, salve(skin cream) and yarn creations.  We enjoy herbs so much as they are like gifts from God, the natural way to heal and maintain health. We do not sell a lot, but we sell the best: the little apples of gold.

In Country Life, we share our struggles, difficulties and new experiences of our days in the country.

In Garden and Chickens, we update with you the progress of our garden and chickens, and our difficulties as well. We even have videos of our chickens there!

In Economics, we bring to you latest news about what is going on with the “real” global financial situation that you don’t hear on mainstream media.  I also offer advice on how to prepare on the coming collapse.

In Health, it’s basically the ideas we learned from the book “Nourishing Traditions” by Sally Fallon. Our eating habits have been influenced by this book. Although stricltly speaking, health does not have an eternal value, it is not wise to not taking good care of our body and ending up spending extra time and money to restore our health in the future. We have to use our resources wisely and take good care of what God has given us.

In Home Recipes, yumm….we share with you the dishes and drinks that our family love. Some of them are inspired by the books mentioned above, some of them are from friends that we know…and some of them are just from trials and errors!

In Home Remedies, we talk about remedies that we used to get well from illness. These sharings are not intended to replace any professional medical advice. Most of the ideas are inspired by “The How to Herb Book” by Keith-Gordon, “ABC Herbal” by Steven Home, and “Practical Herbalism” by Phil Fritchey.

In Homeschooling, it’s about our struggles, experiences, and feelings in this way of life. For non-homeschoolers, this is to let you have a taste of what homeschool is like. For those who homeschool, hope you get encouraged as we are in the same boat!
